Ed Sheeran has composed and recorded “Magical”, a romantic ballad from his sixth studio album Autumn Variations which was released September 29. 2023 and produced by Aaron Dessner from indie rock group The National.
Sheeran sings of his experience of falling in love and its magical effects with soft yet sweet vocals that accompany a soft piano melody and strings, along with intimate moments such as kissing, cuddling and touching with his lover; his lyrics express his wonderment at discovering such an ideal partner and express their thanks and joy at having found such an ideal partner.
Sheeran made headlines last weekend by debuting Magical at a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas for the very first time – and the couple who were fans of his music were overjoyed when he sang it as their first dance! Additionally, Sheeran signed their marriage licenses before sharing an Instagram video from this special momentous occasion on his account; both parties thanked Sheeran profusely for making their day that much sweeter!
